Dear Friends,
Welcome to To Your Health, January 2010. I am happy because I see a growing number of people honoring each other and the Earth and realizing that we are all connected to the same Source, no matter what it is called — Divinity, Source Energy, God or whatever you wish to call it. More and more people are realizing that every atom of existence is alive — the soil, trees, plants, water, air and all inanimate objects — in addition to us and all of our creatures. Your chair, your car, the streets you drive on, the water that you drink, your house, your floor, your books — all that is — is conscious and needs to be loved and respected.
Instead of looking for things or situations or people to criticize, why not focus on love, appreciation, joy, forgiveness and a more conscious connection to divinity — the “I” from which we came.
“There is no relationship of greater importance to achieve than the relationship between you, in your physical body, right here and now, and the Soul/Source/God from which you have come. If you tend to that relationship, first and foremost, you will then, and only then, have the stable footing to proceed into other relationships. Your relationship with your own body; your relationship with money; your relationship with your parents, children, grandchildren, the people you work with, your government, your world . . . will all fall swiftly and easily into alignment once you tend to this fundamental, primary relationship first.” From The Vortex by Abraham (Esther and Jerry Hicks).
Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, a Hawaiian shaman and psychologist, says exactly the same thing. That either inspiration (from divinity) or negative programs in our subconscious is in charge. When we focus on love, forgiveness and thanks, divinity obliges by erasing negative programs (called data or memories replaying) from the subconscious mind. Then divinity can inspire us and whatever is good and right for us comes to us without asking or planning, whether it’s the right job, the right customers, the right mate, the right child, etc. More on this in future articles.
In this issue are the following topics: nutritional myths, including MMS and dioxychlor, nanoparticles and silver (any form); Baby Bits — is the family bed safe for baby; and natural, non-toxic substances that support the immune system.

Nutritional Myths

In each newsletter I will put in this section on nutritional myths. The list is over 12 pages long and growing (yikes!), so it will take me awhile to list them all.

Colloidal Minerals

Colloidal minerals are toxic. Metal ions are the form normally absorbed; the whole nonsense about colloidal minerals is just a sales pitch. And toxic metals are toxic. Silver nitrate was popular for about 100 years, then mercurochrome, then merthiolate, and now Thimersal. The organic compounds of some of these metals are the most toxic forms. (Dr. Ray Peat,
Some colloidal minerals contain as much as 20% aluminum. Instead, use white, non-iodized sea salt to taste. It contains 48 minerals. Avoid colored salts — the color, like the pink or orange in Himalayan sea salt, is toxic iron. Coconut water is also an excellent isotonic drink and has lots of minerals. Did you know that organic vegetables and fruits contain 200-400% more minerals including calcium and magnesium than commercial ones? Plus they are grown without pesticides, GMOs, etc. Commercial foods are a major reason for many deficiencies, including minerals. In addition, avoid soy products, which prevent the absorption of important minerals such as zinc, calcium and magnesium.

Colloidal Silver Toxicity

All silver is very toxic, and the colloidal form wouldn’t kill germs if it weren’t very active chemically. It isn’t as toxic as mercury, but few things are. It’s slightly less toxic than lead. I think silver would be about as bad as the organic antibiotics in the short term, and maybe worse if used chronically. Topically, it’s probably not as bad as mercurochrome; permanganate and copper sulfate might be just a little safer. How does silver kill bacteria? It works pretty much by the same mechanism that makes mercury a powerful antiseptic. Heavy metals are relatively indiscriminate oxidants (potent oxidizing agents). All heavy metals — lead, silver, mercury, nickel, cadmium — are very toxic, potent enzyme poisons and go into the brain, causing diseases like Alzheimer’s, ALS, MS, etc. (Dr. Ray Peat,

Tiny particles of insoluble materials — clay, starch, soot, bacteria — are all potential sources of serious inflammatory reactions, and the ultra-small particles are potentially ultra-numerous and harder to avoid. Silica, silicon dioxide (also called amorphous, or fumed, or colloidal silica) and minerals such as titanium oxide are showing up in all sorts of products. Their surface catalytic properties are often increased by their small radius. (Dr. Ray Peat)

Nanoparticles Used in Untested H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccines

by F. William Engdahl
Global Research, September 13, 2009
This article was written to describe the toxicity of nanoparticles used in vaccines, but these tiny particles are toxic whether they are ingested in vaccines, supplements or in the workplace. So I recommend avoiding any supplements containing them.

Nanoparticles, promoted as the new wonder revolution of science, are particles that are vastly smaller than deadly asbestos particles which caused severe lung damage and death before being outlawed. Particles at a nano size (nm = 0.000000001 meter) fuse together with the membranes of our body cell membranes and, according to recent studies in China and Japan, continuously destroy cells once introduced into the body. Once they interact with the body’s cellular structure, they cannot be removed and cause continuing infectious reactions.
Since the asbestos scandal, it has been established that particles in size a millionth of a meter, because of their enormous attractive force, penetrate all cells, destroying all those they come into contact with.
The September 2009 issue of the respected European Respiratory Journal, made public on August 19, 2009, and available online since August 21, 2009 , contains a peer-reviewed article with the title, “Exposure to Nanoparticles is Related to Pleural Effusion, Pulmonary Fibrosis and Granuloma.” The article describes tests carried out in 2008 at the elite Beijing Chaoyang Hospital on seven young women. All seven, ages 18-47, had been exposed to nanoparticles for 5-13 months in their common workplace. All were admitted to the hospital with shortness of breath and pleural effusions, or excessive fluids surrounding the lungs, inhibiting breathing. None of the seven had ever smoked and none were in any special risk group. Doctors confirmed that the lung problems had a common origin — regular inhalation of polyacrylat nanoparticles in their factory. The tests confirmed the nanoparticles had set off a “super-meltdown” reaction in the patients. Despite all heroic efforts of doctors, two of the seven died from the lung complications.
In their report, the scientists concluded something so alarming it is necessary to quote at length:
“Immunological tests, examinations of bacteriology, virology and tumour markers, bronchoscopy, internal thoracoscopy and video-assisted thoracic surgery were performed. Surveys of the workplace, clinical observations and examinations of the patients were conducted. Polyacrylate, consisting of nanoparticles, was confirmed in the workplace. Pathological examinations of patients’ lung tissue displayed nonspecific pulmonary inflammation, pulmonary fibrosis and foreign-body granulomas of pleura. Using transmission electron microscopy, nanoparticles were observed to lodge in the cytoplasm and caryoplasm of pulmonary epithelial and mesothelial cells, but are also located in the chest fluid. These cases arouse concern that long-term exposure to some nanoparticles without protective measures may be related to serious damage to human lungs.”
The Beijing Chaoyang Hospital study has now conclusively confirmed that nanoparticles cause lung damage and other toxicity in humans as well.

MMS or Choline Dioxide (Dioxychlor)

MMS — Miracle Mineral Solution — forms chlorine dioxide or dioxychlor with citrus juice or vinegar are added to it. MMS is a 28% solution of sodium chlorite (bleach) in distilled water.
Dioxychlor or chlorine dioxide is also manufactured by American Biologics and is supplied in liquid form. It contains a substance consisting of two oxygen atoms bound, not to each other, but to a third atom of chlorine. This makes possible the release of the highly active form (of oxygen), nascent oxygen. It is similar in this respect to ozone and hydrogen peroxide. Most people take 10-30 drops per day.
“Re chlorine dioxide, human cells are about ten times more sensitive than yeast cells. Chlorine dioxide and its reaction products are carcinogenic, and the amounts advocated are really dangerous.” (Dr. Ray Peat)

Proposed Use of Chlorine Dioxide to Purify Water

“In places where parasites are endemic and the water is polluted, it is probably useful, but treating water with ozone to disinfect it and destroy mutagens and carcinogens would be better. Chlorinated water is known to cause cancer and genetic damage, and ClO2 is a little safer than chlorine gas, and cheaper than ozone, so there is a lot of pressure to use it for public water treatment. There are studies, for example from Italy, showing that it damages gestating babies. Except when a person is traveling in the jungle, or something of the sort, I don’t consider it safe to use.” (Dr. Ray Peat,

Baby Bits: Is the Family Bed Safe for Baby?

A baby in the same bed with his or her parents is surrounded by the best possible surveillance and safety system. Newborn babies breathe in irregular rhythms and even stop breathing for a few seconds at a time. To put it simply, babies are not designed to sleep alone. (Peaceful Parenting, October 15, 2009)

Statistics Show Co-Sleeping is Likely Twice as Safe as Sleeping in a Crib!

In an article for Mothering magazine, Tina Kimmel dissected the statistics from an 18-year period (1980-1997), showing how co-sleeping with your infant may actually be twice as safe as letting them sleep alone in a crib.

Bedsharing May Be a Safer Option for Breastfed Infants

Interestingly, in one British study, breastfeeding mothers who shared their bed with their infants were found to sleep in a characteristic manner that promotes safety for the child, whereas mothers who bottle-fed their babies did not. “The mother spontaneously adopted a distinctive lateral position facing the infant, with her knees drawn up under the infant’s feet and her upper arm positioned above the infant’s head. This position facilitates the baby’s easy access to mother’s breasts, and babies orient themselves towards their mother’s breasts for most of the night.

It also provides several safety benefits:
  • the baby is flat on the mattress, away from pillows
  • the baby is constrained by the mother’s knees and arm so that it can’t move up or down the bed
  • the mother controls the height of bed covers over the baby
  • it is very difficult for the baby to be rolled on by either parent, as the mother’s elbow and knees are in the way
  • the mother is close enough to monitor the baby’s temperature and breathing continually.
Bedsharing families who did not breastfeed slept together differently, particularly with respect to the physical orientation to the infant. Mothers who had never breastfed did not curl up around their infants for sleep and did not, therefore, use their own bodies to make a constrained space in the bed for the baby. These mothers primarily positioned their infants at face height in the bed, either between or propped up on the parents’ pillows. Mothers also spent a much smaller proportion of the night facing their infants, and although infants were still oriented towards their mothers for the majority of the night, the mother’s position meant there was less face-to-face orientation.

Safe Bedsharing Guidelines

Naturally, no single sleeping arrangement is 100 percent safe as there are many factors that can play a role. For example, as the study above discovered, whether or not you breastfeed your child may influence the instinctive positioning of your baby in relation to yourself, making bedsharing more or less safe.
The single most dangerous thing you can do is to leave your child alone during sleep, he says.
There are a number of studies, several of which are discussed in McKenna’s paper “Why babies should never sleep alone: A review of the co-sleeping controversy in relation to SIDS, bedsharing and breastfeeding,” that show bedsharing, or sleeping in close proximity, actually protects against SIDS rather than cause it.

Immune System Support Foods

If you support (not stimulate) your immune system by eating an organic, whole foods prothyroid diet, optimize your digestion with plant enzymes and balance your hormones, there is no need to take a lot of supplements.
To read about the organic whole foods prothyroid diet, go to
Thera-zyme Multiple Digestive Enzyme as Determined by the Loomis 24-Hour Urine Test. These include PAN, Bil, HCL, Stm, DGST and VSCLR. Thera-zyme TRMA is for nutritional support in people who may have anxiety, immune system problems, bacterial or viral infections, soft tissue trauma (accidental or surgical), edema (fluid retention anywhere, including ears, ankles, etc.), pain, gum problems and parasites. TRMA is also for the health of the hair, eyes, skin and nails. TRMA must be taken on an empty stomach with water only so that it will work in the blood and not act as a digestive enzyme. Contraindication: gastric problems.
Turmeric is for added nourishment of the immune system, gallbladder, liver, colon, eyes and skin. Turmeric is a mild curry spice used by millions of Asian people. It provides nutritional support for healthy DNA, cardiovascular health and for skin problems, including psoriasis, gallbladder problems, and weak vision. It is a COX inhibitor (inhibits free radicals, like aspirin), and provides a gentle liver and colon detox.
Colostrum is especially good for the immune system, stomach and colon problems. Colostrum is a “pre-milk” substance produced the first hours after birth, the mother’s mammary glands. Colostrum is nature’s way of passing important growth and immune factors from mother to baby. It is one of the only substances known that is capable of transferring active antibodies from one being to another. The only colostrum I recommend is that from New Zealand available from Sedona Labs.

Vitamin D3 from lanolin as drops or in caps is good for everyone, even babies and especially nursing mothers. Enhances intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus and thus promotes bone health. Supports normal structure and function in people who may have bone problems (osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and osteopenia), wandering pains, cardiovascular problems, cancer, MS, weak/painful muscles, immune system problems, fatigue and inflammatory conditions.
